Nobody at the top of their game is flying solo.

Behind every high performer is someone like a partner taking on the kitchen full of chaos, or a back channel of cheerleaders, or a supportive mum that keeps the wheels from coming off. And many have a trusted EA or VA  acting as a bookkeeper or phone answerer or project whisperer, or even just someone who will tell them straight when their idea is dumb. Yes, the owner is doing the hard yards but make no mistake, they aren’t doing it all alone.

The ones who pretend they’re a one-person show? They’re lying, or they’re burning out. Usually both. It is legit impossible to be everything everywhere all at once.

High performers have someone else chasing the paperwork, managing the follow-up, screening the “got a minute?” chaos out of their day. They’ve figured out that trying to do it all is the fastest way to do none of it well. Sadly, nobody gives out medals for “most emails answered at midnight” or we would be up for gold.

Delegating is not a weakness. Surrounding yourself with people who can help catch your dropped balls, push your brain, and keep those wheels on is how you survive and go on to have room to build your dreams. So, if your to-do list is doubling every month and your best ideas are still stuck in drafts, ask yourself: Who’s in your corner? Who’s running with you? That answer shouldn’t stay ‘no one’ for very long. Burnout is not a flex.
