Knights Security
Knights Security is a New Zealand security services business run by Leonn. Like a lot of owner-operated service businesses, Leonn was focused on the work and less interested in the financial administration that came with running it. The books needed someone with a consistent process and the proactiveness to catch problems before they became IRD notices.
The Challenge
Knights Security was carrying the typical pressure of a small owner-operated business: no consistent reconciliation process, and GST periods approaching without clean books. Leonn needed proactive reminders rather than a bookkeeper who waited to be chased — and a handover that kept things running without disruption through a change in who was managing his account.

- Bank reconciliation maintained via Xero on a consistent schedule
- Weekly IRD portal monitoring: flagging notices, tracking upcoming obligations, and sending proactive reminders
- GST return preparation and filing (bi-monthly)
- Recording all transactions and processing bills into Xero
